Being unable to express ourselves through our clothing due to fear is something that most LGBTQIA people experience at some point in our lives. That’s why we at MTUG host two FREE clothing swaps every year; one in summer and one in winter.
Our summer clothing donation drive kicks off with our donation drop-off dates of Tuesday July 5th from 1:00pm-3:00pm, then Wednesday July 6th from 3:00pm-5:00pm, and Friday July 8th from 5:00pm-7:00pm, all at the location of the swap, 3738 Choteau Avenue.
The swap itself begins on Saturday, July 9th from 11:00am-5:00pm, and ends Sunday, July 10th from 12:00pm-6:00pm.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!If you would like to volunteer to help sort clothing during the swap days, we would love to see your bright and shining faces one hour before the start times Saturday and Sunday.
We will accept new/gently used donations of all sizes of the following: shirts/blouses, pants, slacks, jeans, tank-tops, shorts, jackets, shoes, hats, neckties, belts, skirts, dresses, formal wear, unopened makeup kits, and CLEAN binders and bras.
We will not accept donations of below-the-waist undergarments for sanitary reasons, and our organizers and volunteers strongly request that all donations be cleaned before donating.
Thank you all, and see you next weekend!!
